The group exhibition "Location(s)" presents the idea of space as a living experience
rather than merely a physical presence. Between the place where we live and the
place that exists in our desires, there lies another invisible yet deeply
present space — the space of creativity. The three participating artists —
Pawan Kumar D, Lalit Bhatt, and Anirul — explore different dimensions of space
through expansive landscapes as well as intimate fragments of specific places.
The exhibition opened on 15 May 2026 at the Shri Dharani Gallery of Triveni
Kala Sangam in New Delhi. It has been curated by Johny ML and presented by Elke
& Bose.

In his paintings, Pawan Kumar D creates shifting images of a single place
across different moments in time, while also evoking impressions that are more
psychological than visual. As a result, space in his works appears abstract.
Although the identity of a place remains recognisable in his paintings, his
imagination intensifies its emotional and experiential impact.

Lalit Bhatt’s abstract depictions of mountains and the settlements nestled
among them offer a distinctive visual experience through a richly multicoloured
palette. In his recent works, the geometric divisions created through colour
have become less pronounced, giving the compositions a more fluid and immersive
quality.

In Anirul’s works, a place emerges through one of its fragments, becoming a
carrier of memory and recollection. His paintings suggest spaces not through
direct representation, but through traces, sensations, and remembered
impressions.
