Krishna and Kadamba tree

Sanjay Das is a familiar name in contemporary photography art who has long been famous for doing subject-oriented photography. His solo exhibition was held at the Museo Camera in Gurugram which was focused on Manipuri dance. This exhibition was curated by Ina Puri. In this, Sanjay has captured the emotional presentation of Krishna Leela and Kadamba tree by Manipuri artists on camera. Today, when most photo artists prefer colour photography, Sanjay establishes artistic beauty in black and white pictures. If you look at these photographs, there are scenes of dance presentation as well as preparation for the dance. Other artists preparing the artists, their costumes, makeup, etc., have special importance in dance, which Sanjay ji has given a new dimension with his camera. During the exhibition, an art dialogue took place between Ina Puri, Sanjay Das, and Aditya Arya, founder of Museo Camera, on March 29. Along with this, a group of Manipuri artists active in Gurugram presented a Manipuri dance titled Nritya Nikunj. This exhibition can be said to be creating a new relationship between different arts.

कृष्ण और कदंब का वृक्ष

संजय दास समकालीन फोटोग्राफी कला में एक परिचित नाम है जो लंबे समय से विषय केंद्रित फोटोग्राफी करने के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं। गुरुग्राम स्थित म्यूजियो कैमरा में उनकी एकल प्रदर्शनी हुई जो मणिपुरी नृत्य पर एकाग्र थी। इस प्रदर्शनी को क्यूरेट किया था इना पुरी ने। इसमें कृष्ण लीला और कदंब वृक्ष को मणिपुरी कलाकारों की भाव स्तर पर प्रस्तुति को संजय ने कैमरे में कैद किया है। आज जब ज्यादातर फोटो कलाकार रंगीन फोटोग्राफी को प्राथमिकता देते हैं, संजय ब्लैक एंड व्हाइट चित्रों में कलात्मक सौंदर्य की स्थापना करते हैं। इन फोटोग्राफ्स को देखें तो उनमें नृत्य की प्रस्तुति के साथ ही नृत्य की तैयारी के दृश्य भी हैं। कलाकारों को तैयार करते दूसरे कलाकार, उनकी पोषाख, मेकअप आदि का नृत्य में विशेष महत्व होता है जिसे संजय जी ने अपने कैमरे से एक नया आयाम दिया है। प्रदर्शनी के दौरान 29 मार्च को इना पुरी, संजय दास और म्यूजियो कैमरा के संस्थापक आदित्य आर्य के बीच कला संवाद हुआ। इसके साथ ही गुरुग्राम में सक्रिय मणिपुरी कलाकारों के समूह ने नृत्य निकुंज शीर्षक से मणिपुरी नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया। यह प्रदर्शनी एक तरह से विभिन्न कलाओं के बीच एक नया संबंध बनाती कही जा सकती है।
